Background
The company has announced its vanadium extraction furnace capacity replacement plan for 2023(Design standard vanadium slag production capacity: 175 ttpa). According to the plan, the construction of the vanadium extraction furnace must ensure that the vanadium-titanium magnetite ore ratio in the feed is higher than 60%, and the vanadium content in the blast furnace iron must be greater than 0.2%. The new vanadium extraction furnace is arranged separately from the steelmaking converter and operates in a dual-mode for vanadium extraction, and it is not to be used for steelmaking.[1]
