KISCO steel Changwon plant (한국철강 (Korean)), also known as Korea Steel Co., Ltd., Korea Iron & Steel, Dongkuk Steel Mill Changwon (predecessor), is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Changwon, South Gyeongsang, South Korea.

Background

Korea Iron & Steel Co Ltd was established in 1957. The plant houses three electric arc furnaces with a total production capacity of 3000 ttpa.

In April 2020, it was reported that KISCO planned to stop production of forged products and to sell related production equipment including forging presses and a 70 ton electric arc furnace. As of December 2023, there have been no updates regarding the same.
