Kamsky Metallurgical Works TEMPO (ТЭМПО, Камский металлургический комбинат, АО, АО "КМК "ТЭМПО", Камский металлургический комбинат ТЭМПО), also known as Kamsky Metallurgical Combine TEMPO, Kamsky Iron and Steel Works TEMPO, is a steel plant in Naberezhnye Chelny, Republic of Tatarstan, Russia that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
Kamsky Metallurgical Works TEMPO was commissioned in 2016.[1]
The plant has been shut down for repairs in 2019 and 2020. As of April 2021, a legal battle between the plant and its supplier of electrodes was ongoing, so the plant may not be operating.[2]
As of October 2023, the plant is operating.[3]
Environmental & safety violations
The Department brought JSC KMK TEMPO to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 8.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and imposed a fine of 150 thousand rubles for non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the collection, processing, disposal of waste of III-IV hazard class.[4] Department registered 19 violations of the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation in the field of industrial and energy safety, current norms and rules.
A resident of Bashkortostan sued TEMPO because of her disabled husband -- he was crushed by metal structures at the plant, and is unable to work. The part of the overhead cranes suddenly collapsed on two employees. Both were hospitalized. The emergency occurred due to the fault of the employer. The court ordered the Kamsky Metallurgical Plant "TEMPO" to pay 250 thousand rubles.[5]
