Kardemir Merkez steel plant (KARDEMİR KARABÜK DEMİR ÇELİK SAN. ve TİC.A.Ş.), also known as Karabük Demir Çelik Fabrikaları, Karabük Iron and Steel Works, is a steel plant in Merkez, Karabük, Türkiye that operates blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) technology.

Background

Kardemir S.A. was privatized on March 3, 1995.[1]

In 2017, Steel Guru reported that Kardemir was investing in a 30 MW captive power plant in addition to capacity expansions to be completed in 2019.[2]
