Kerry Stokes is the Executive Chairman of Seven Network Limited, a position he has held since July 1999. Prior to that, from June 1995 he was Non-Executive Chairman of the company.[1] As of September 2009 Stokes and his associated companies held 48.78% of Seven Network Limited.[2]
He has also been the chairman of the Seven Media Group Pty. Limited since December 2006 and is the Chairman of Australian Capital Equity Pty Limited Group which, a biographical note states, "has significant interests in activities which include media and entertainment, research and technology development, property and industrial activities."[1] Another biographical note states that through Australian Capital Equity, "Mr. Stokes has broad business interests and investments in a range of major business sectors, including WesTrac. Mr Stokes also has broad interests and investments including property, construction, mining, oil and gas exploration."[3]
Since September 2008, he has also been a Director of West Australian Newspapers Holdings Limited and in December 2008 was appointed as Chairman.[1]

Awards
In June 2008 Stokes was made a Companion in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
A biographical note states that Stokes has received the following awards:[3]
- 1993: Award by the Minister for the Arts, Western Australia for outstanding contribution to the Arts Industry
- 1993: Recipient of an RSL Commendation Award for outstanding service rendered to the ex-service community
- 1994: Recipient of the West Australian Citizen of the Year Award in Industry and Commerce
- 1994: Recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award through Rotary International
- 1995: Appointed an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO)
- 2000: Awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Commerce from Edith Cowan University of Western Australia
- 2000: Awarded an Honorary Fellow of Murdoch University of Western Australia
- 2002: Recipient of the Gold Medal Award for the Western Australian Director of the Year from the Australian Institute of Company Directors
- 2003: Recipient of the Centenary Medal
- 2007: Recipient of the Fiona Stanley Award for outstanding contribution to Child Health Research
