The Kolubara Field B coal mine is a surface mine near Barosevac, Serbia.

Background
The Kolubara Field B coal mine is part of Kolubara Mine Complex. It is located at the south-eastern tip of the Kolubara basin.
It can also be referred to as Polje B mine.
It is the oldest mine of the Kolubara Complex that opened in 1952 - the same year as the first discontinued Field A surface mine.[1]
As per 2008 EBRD's document, Field B has been expanded to the part of geological area of Field C. Mining at Filed B should have discontinued already by 2017.[2]
However, Field B was still producing as per EPS reports. Coal production in 2021 almost doubled compared with the previous levels.[3] However, the 2023 report did not include Filed B coal mine anymore.[4] It is assumed that mining has now discontinued.
