In July 2017, the pipeline became operational.[6]
At about 20:00 on September 20, 2016, a fire broke out in the pipeline during the air pressure test, killing three people and injuring three.[7]

Lanzhou-Lintao Gas Pipeline began construction in 2013 and commissioned in January 2018. It's sourced Lanzhou-Dingxi gas pipeline . The gas is mainly for residential and commercial use in three counties, Lintao, Kangle and Guanghe.[12] [13]
The pipeline runs from No.2 Valve Chamber of Lanzhou-Dingxi Gas Pipeline in Qilihe District, Lanzhou, to Balipuzhen Portal Station, Lintao County, Dingxi. 管线起点始于兰州市七里河区兰定线2号阀室，终点位于临洮县八里铺镇门站。[12]
