Lloyds Metal and Energy Konsari plant is a 3000 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant announced in Konsari, Maharashtra, India.

Background
In FY2018, Lloyds Metal and Energy Ltd announced an integrated steel plant at Konsari for INR 700 crore. The construction of the project was started in July 2022.[2] The Phase-I of the proposed Konsari steel plant is under construction and is expected to be commissioned in FY24.[3] In January 2023, the company announced an additional capacity expansion of 72 ttpa at its sponge iron manufacturing facility for INR 225 crore, scheduled to commence operations in FY24.[2][4] The company has submitted a project proposal regarding expansion of the sponge iron capacity to 458.7 ttpa for environmental clearance.[5] The plant was announced to be inaugurated on 08 December 2023.[6]
