Background
According to media reports, Wenshui Haiwei Steel Co., Ltd. was reportedly transferred to the trusteeship of Shanxi Jianlong Industrial Co., Ltd. in June 2020 after its leadership was arrested in May 2020 for criminal charges related to illegal weapons ownership and illegal mining.[1][2]
According to the capacity replacement plan in January 2022, the company plans to build a 1780m3 blast furnace and a 150-tonnne basic oxygen furnace.[3][4]
