Background
The Moonie to Brisbane Oil Pipeline was the first major oil pipeline to be built in Australia, and holds Queensland license number 1.[6] The pipeline was permanently retired in 2008, after closing in 2007 due to a leak in the Brisbane suburb of Algester.[3][6]
