The Muja South mine is to the south and east of the existing Muja mine. The Muja mine is located 18 kilometres south east of Collie in Western Australia and is owned and operated by Griffin Coal.
The company has proposed that the new open cut coal mine could commence production by 2012 subject to receiving environmental approvals.[1]
