Nakayama Steel Works Osaka (株式会社 中山製鋼所), also known as Nakayama Steel Funamachi Factory, is a steel plant in Funamachi, Taisho, Osaka, Japan that operates electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.
Location
The map below shows the exact location of the plant in Funamachi, Taisho, Osaka, Japan:

Background
Nakayama Steel Works Ltd. established the Funamachi plant in 1929.[1] The plant discontinued its blast furnace, sintering plant and basic oxygen converters in 2002 and has only been operating its electric arc furnace-based steel production.[2] In February 2022, Nakayama Steel Works announced its plan to expand its EAF-based steel capacity at the site originally occupied by the retired blast furnace and coking plant. In 2023 the site was cleared for construction and in 2024 the feasibility assessment of the development is in process[3]
