Nucor Steel Decatur plant, also known as Trico Steel (predecessor), is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Trinity, Alabama, United States.

Background
The Nucor Steel Decatur plant, originally owned by Trico Steel, began operating in 1997. The plant was bought by Nucor in 2002 from Trico Steel after Nucor acquired Trico Steel for $116 million, and began operating again as Nucor Steel Decatur in 2006.[1][2]
In September 2021, a man at the plant was killed after a forklift accident.[3]
