Background on Project
In January 2015, the Energy Department granted Oyon Bay Energy Resources Inc. a clearance to conduct a grid impact study for a 150 MW coal plant proposed by Oyon Bay Energy Resources. The plant would be located near the 600 MW Masinloc power station, operated by AES. Currently that station is seeking to expand with an additional 600 MW of capacity.[1]
As of May 2019 there has been no additional news on the project and it appears to be cancelled.
