Background
In November 2024, Höegh Evi announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SEMOP Port-La Nouvelle to develop a floating terminal for hydrogen imports. The company said that hydrogen would be imported from producers in the Middle East, North Africa and the Americas. The terminal would have a capacity of 210,000 tonnes per year of hydrogen as early as 2030.[2]
