Background

Rashmi Green Hydrogen & Steel Private Limited, a Private Limited company, announced its plan to set up a green field Project for Integrated Steel Plant -3.1 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) along with 230 MW ( 80 MW WHRB/ TRT based + 150 MW Coal based) Captive Power Plant at Kharagpur, West Bengal, India. The proposed plant comprises of blast furnaces, basic oxygen furnaces, sinter plants, pellet plant and non-recovery type coke oven plant.[1] The project is in the construction phase and the seamless tube/pipe plant and coal gasifier plant are in operation.[2] Complete project implementation of the project is expected to be completed by 2030.[1]
