Background

China Resources Gas Group Limited signed investment agreement with Jiangsu Rudongkou Port Economic Development Zone Management Committee and Jiangsu Yangkou Port Construction and Development Group Co., Ltd in September 2021.

In 2022, it is seeking permit for a new LNG terminal on Yangguang Island or Sunshine Island, a land-filled artificial island offshore of the city of Rudong. Three other LNG Terminals, Rudong LNG Terminal, Jiangsu LNG Terminal and Rudong LNG Terminal (Jiangsu Guoxin) are already operating or under construction on the Island.

The LNG terminal project will be carried out in two phases. The designed receiving capacity is 6.5 mpta. The first phase will construct four storage tanks with 200,000 cubic meters each.
