Rungta Mines Chaliyama steel plant

Background
Rungta Mines Chaliyama steel plant has direct reduced iron units and induction furnaces.[1] In 2021, the company received environmental clearance for expansion of the plant to an annual operating capacity of 7 mtpa.[2] Many facilities at the plant are under construction. After expansion the Chaliyama steel plant will be able to produce hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, annealed & pickled products, sheet, galvanasied coil, colour coated sheets, pipes, tubes, wires and others.[2]
