Fujian Sangang (Group) Co., Ltd., commonly known as Sangang Group, is a state-owned iron and steel company headquartered in Sanming City, Fujian Province, China.[1]
History
Fujian Sangang (Group) Co., Ltd. (Sangang Group for short), formerly known as Fujian Sanming Iron and Steel Plant, was established in 1958. In March 2000, Fujian Sangang (Group) Co., Ltd. was restructured and established with the approval of the Fujian Provincial People's Government. The controlling shareholder is Fujian Metallurgical (Holdings) Co., Ltd., accounting for 94.4906% of the total share capital of Sangang Group. At present, Sangang Group has formed a large enterprise group with an annual output of 12 million tons of steel and a cross-industry, cross-regional and cross-ownership enterprise group with steel industry as its main business and diversified industries. The goal of Sangang Group is to achieve carbon peaking by 2026 and reduce carbon by 30% by 2035.[2]
