Background

Siam Yamato Steel Co., Ltd was established in 1992 to produce hot-rolled structural steel. It is a joint venture between Yamato Kogyo Co., Ltd. Mitsui & Co., Ltd, The Siam Cement Public Company Limited, Sumitomo Corporation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Mitsui & Co. (Thailand) Co., Ltd.[1] The company owns and operates two steel plants (Siam Yamato Steel I and Siam Yamato Steel II) in the Muang District of Rayong, Thailand.[2]
