Simon Xue is Manager of Newtech Energy, a small company proposing to construct a proposed brown coal briquetting plant in the Latrobe Valley in Victoria.[1]

A biographical note states that[1]:
- "Simon came to Australia in 2003 after studying and living in China and Singapore. He received his first class honours in commerce from the University of Melbourne in 2007. Prior to joining Newtech, Simon worked for a number of leading global consultancies, including Booz & Company and AECOM, on a variety of infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients. Simon provides managerial and analytical support to the three directors at Newtech. Simon is also responsible for coordinating and liaising with key service providers and stakeholders for the Yallourn project."
