Sohar Steel plant (شركة صحار للحديد الصلب (Arabic)), also known as Sharq Sohar Steel, is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Sohar, Al Batinah North, Oman.

Background

Sohar Steel is one of the major producers of high strength steel reinforcement bars and other steel products in the Sultanate of Oman.[1]This plant closed in 2020 and got acquired by Jindal group and restarted in 2023.[2]
