Background
The plant is part of the three Takoradi power stations in Aboadze, including: Takoradi (TICO) Thermal power plant, and Takoradi (TAPCO) 3 Thermal power plant.[8]The financiers of the project include International Development Association, Kuwaiti Fund, European Investment Bank, BADEA, and the World Bank.[9]In 1999, the plant came online.[9][8]
