Tangshan Donghai Iron and Steel Group Co Ltd (唐山东海钢铁集团有限公司) is a steel plant in Tangshan, Hebei, China that operates blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) technology.

Background
The company planned to dismantle the existing old blast furnace and construct a new 1200 cubic meter blast furnace on-site, along with corresponding supporting facilities. The project was scheduled to commence on March 1, 2018. However, due to the project's environmental impact assessment process, the pre-construction work was suspended and the dismantling was completed by September 15, 2018, following a refund of the initial investment.[1][2]
According to the announcement of the capacity replacement plan in February 2019, the company plans to build a 1650m3 blast furnace to replace the 1#1080m3 blast furnace and the 5#680m3 blast furnace.[3] In January 2022, the EIA report of the project was approved.[4]
