Background

The Tebinbulak Mining and Smelting Complex is part of the structural division of Triangul Metals Tebinbulak. The facility will supply up to 1.8 million tons of iron ore metallurgical raw materials (DRI) annually to the domestic market. An additional 1.5 million tons of DRI will be supplied to the Gallaral Metallurgical Cluster for steel production. The complex was initially expected to be operational in 2024.[1] In May 2024 it was reported that construction of the pelletizing plant at the premises of the Tebinbulak mining and smelting complex had begun, with completion anticipated in Q4 2025.[2]
