Tokyo Steel Utsunomiya plant (東京製鐵 宇都宮工場 (Japanese)) is an electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Utsunomiya, Kantō, Japan.

Background
Tokyo Steel acquired a factory site (approximately 147,000 square meters) in Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture. Utsunomiya Mill rolling mill was completed and production began in 1995.
In 2024, Tokyo Steel started its new proprietary green steel brand called "Ensō".[1]
In line with Japan's commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, Tokyo Steel announced its long-term environmental vision "Tokyo Steel EcoVision 2050". Tokyo Steel aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 60% by 2030 and by 100% by 2050 from emissions levels as of fiscal year 2013.[2]
