Background
Toyohashi Steel Mill Plant of Toto Steel Mfg., Co., Ltd. (current Toyohashi Factory of Topy Industries, Ltd.) was established in 1958.[1] In 2015, Topy Industries introduced a 200-ton eco-friendly high-efficiency electric furnace (ECOARC™*), one of the largest in Japan.[2]
Topy Industries Group has set a long-term sustainability vision, “TOPY Sustainable Green Vision 2050,” which envisions to reduce CO2 emissions by 46% by 2030 from 2013 levels and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.[3]
