Background
The company was reported by the public for environmental issues and was ordered to rectify the situation in 2021.[1]
In November and December 2023, WISCO's Xiangyang Heavy Equipment Material Company was found to have issues with air pollutant monitoring equipment during inspections by environmental authorities. On January 25, 2024, the Xiangyang Ecological Environment Bureau decided not to impose penalties, citing minor violations, prompt corrections, and no environmental harm.[2]
