Background

The pipeline is a crucial gas source for the pilot project of sending natural gas to the Shandong Province countryside. It is a branch line of the Tai'an-Qingdao-Weihai Gas Pipeline of PetroChina's West-East Gas Transmission. The pipeline can effectively alleviate the problem of insufficient natural gas supply in Weifang and Dongying in Shandong province and provides a gas source guarantee for the smooth progress of Dongying's natural gas to the countryside project. Phase 1 project of the pipeline (from Qingzhou Station and Shouguang Station) was put into operation in June 2014. Phase 2 of the pipeline was successfully delivered on December 14, 2015, marking the complete run-through of the line.[1]
