Background

The steelmaking equipment replacement and environmental protection renovation project in 2020 is to build a 120-ton basic oxygen furnace with a capacity of 1.35 million tons and remove the 70-ton basic oxygen furnace. In 2022, the 120-ton basic oxygen furnace has put into operation.

The company also planned to reduce and replace the existing 503m3 blast furnace, one 616m3 blast furnace, and part of the purchased iron-making capacity to build a 1200m3 blast furnace. The annual output of iron is 1.13 million tons. The 1200m3 blast furnace started to operate in September 2023.
