Jai Balaji Durgapur Unit IV steel plant, also known as JBG Durgapur, is a steel plant in Durgapur, Pashchim Bardhaman, West Bengal, India that operates blast furnace (BF), direct reduced iron (DRI), steelmaking, and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background
Jai Balaji group has four units with in West Bengal: Unit I, Unit III, Unit IV and Unit V.
In October 2007, the West Bengal Government signed a memoranda of agreement (MoA) with Videocon Industries and Jai Balaji Industries for the setting up a three million tonnes per annum integrated steel plant and a 1,200 MW power plant in the Asansol-Durgapur region of Burdwan, with a total investment of around INR 15,000 crore.[1] The plant was inaugurated in February 2009.[2]
In 2021, the company proposed to expand its existing production capacity through modification / replacement / new addition to produce 891 thousand tonnes per annum of billets.[3] As of December 2024, there has been no updates on the project.
