Background
Jai Balaji group has four units with in West Bengal: Unit I, Unit III, Unit IV and Unit V.
In 2020, the company proposed expansion of steel plant by upgradation of existing blast furnaces and additional installation of electric arc furnaces.[1] According to the company's Q3 & 9MFY24 Investor Presentation, the company was revamping the blast furnaces (BF) at Unit III. BF#1 was under process and was expected to be commissioned by FY24. BF#2 will be completed in next financial year.[2]
